Wade H. Shaw is a Professor of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering in the Department of Engineering Systems in the College of Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology and the Editor-in Chief of the IEEE Engineering Management Review.  He currently serves as Co-Director of the Florida Tech Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence and previously, he served as Associate Dean of Technology in the College of Engineering and Chair of the Engineering Management Program, and Associate Editor of the Transactions on Mobile Computing.  He actively pursues writing, teaching, research, and consulting in research methods, project engineering, simulation modeling, and quality engineering.  He served as 2000 & 2001 President of the Engineering Management Society of the IEEE.  His views on engineering, education and technology management were included in the millennium celebration book titled Engineering Tomorrow.   He is an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer in the field of engineering management and is a registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina.   In 2000 he was awarded the Millennium Medal for his contributions to the field of engineering management and he is a Fellow of the IEEE.  Dr. Shaw serves on the governing boards of several professional organizations.   He is an established consultant, author, and speaker whose interdisciplinary view stems from experience in business startups, research,  academics, consulting, military service, and agriculture .  He lives with his wife Susan and sons in Melbourne, Florida.
