Total Synthesis of
CP-263,114
While this
pentacyclic structures has attracted the attention of most leading synthetic
chemists since its isolation in 1997 from Fungus Twigs in Texas, we are
interested in yet another approach at the construction of this unique type
of natural product. Our approach involves the synthesis of two
independent fragments to be attached at a later stage. The methodology
for the final attachments is currently underway using a truncated version of
1 serving as a model compound. |
