Bio
I completed my Ph.D. in computer science in May, 2011,
supervised by Dr. Eraldo Ribeiro.
My main research interests are in two aspects: (1) nonrigid shape and image
deformation analysis; (2) vector-field data modeling and analysis. Before I
came to Florida Tech, I worked in the machine
vision industry, developing algorithms for object recognition, vision
inspection, and automatic quality-control systems.

Correspondenceless nonrigid image registration.
The registration quality (similarity measure) is
indirectly calculated through integral transforms using certain classes of
test functions, leading to an efficient and robust registration algorithm.

Scale-rotation
invariant flow-field singular patterns.
A SIFT-like flow-field singular-pattern detector
based on complex-valued representation. Our method is able to detect and
describe singular-patterns of different scales and orientations.
