APPLIED EXPERIENCE
Research Psychologist - KAEGAN Corporation (Orlando, FL) 8/05 Present Support projects as a contractor for the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAVAIR) involving job analysis, selection, training, and test development. A current deliverable involves the development of a measurements repository to help aid in the collection, storage, and analysis of performance data for the NATO Alliance.
Graduate Student Consultant - Center for Organizational Effectiveness (Melbourne, FL) 09/05 Present The COE is a research and consulting center at the Florida Institute of Technology. The center is run by faculty and graduate students who specialize in employee selection and assessment issues, training and development, survey research, and executive coaching.
Research Assistant - Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (Cocoa Beach, FL) 5/05 8/05 Worked with a team of psychologists to revise DEOMI's Equal Opportunity Climate Survey. Developed computer skills using statistical data software (SPSS) while working with a large military database. Other relevant tasks included writing reports, preparing briefs, developing items, and organizing focus group and interview sessions. Test Evaluator - CTB-McGraw Hill (Indianapolis, IN) 3/04 6/04 Helped score and evaluated over 4,000 standardized tests. Key responsibilities included participating in training, demonstrating knowledge of effective scoring methods, and accurately scoring tests. CONSULTING/RESEARCH PROJECTS Select International 08/07 04/08 Collaborated with researchers at Select International to examine individuals who failed background checks in order to develop a profile that may aid in initial screenings. A report with the results were presented at a professional conference.
Work Skills First, Inc. 11/07- 03/08 Sub-contracted to help evaluate the validity of various surveys for screening those who wish to enlist in the U.S. military. Main responsibilities included recruiting participants and administering assessments.
Rockwell Collins 04/07 08/07 Conducted a concurrent validation study for a selection instrument being piloted at Rockwell Collins for an engineering position.
Entertainment Technology Center & New York Fire Department 11/05 08/06 Developed performance metrics for a high-fidelity computer simulation for training teams of first responders.
Subway Inc. 09/05 09/06 Worked with a team to conduct a job analysis and develop a summated rating scale to identify candidates for promotion to manager.
