Recurring Needs:

Renewable Energy Conference attendance funding

Fulfilled Needs to Date:

higher power (~30-50W/channel) car radio (preferably with a line-input stereo jack) and/or a >50W+ power amplifier to be used in our wind and solar Field Station-1 trailer and/or in our boat "Toot" (which participated in the Homecoming Parade on February 21, 2004.) These sound devices will receive power from a photovoltaic (PV) array and a wind turbine. (The wind turbine won't be running during towing, of course.)

While the equipment was used for attention-getting music during the Homecoming Parade, it normally would be used for computer audio for public demonstrations and renewable energy advocacy events. We powered an emissions tester at the Space Coast Clean Cities Alternative Fuel Vehicle show "Florida's Odyssey" at the Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa April 2, 2004. In 2005, we provided power to Mike Beckert's sound system at the President's Picnic.
