FSEC Publications

An excellent magazine is "Home Power",
which is an easily available magazine that encompasses renewable energy. I
subscribe, but find it at Barnes & Noble bookstore here in Melbourne FL. I like
the magazine well enough that I take advantage of their 50% off donation to the
Florida Tech Evans Library so that students may access. I also give homework
that requires study of a specific "Home Power" article to answer my questions.
Transportation, Renewable or Electric Vehicles
The Florida Electric Auto Association is creating their website at
http://floridaeaa.org/. These are
enthusiasts of pure electric cars (they plug in).
The National Electric Auto Association
http://eaaev.org/index.html has a fully developed site that provides
information on current events.

Tour de Sol race will occur May 21 - 25, 2004. Their website says "the Tour will
kick off in Westchester County - one of the most auto-oriented and affluent
suburbs of New York City - with a two-day weekend "green car show and more."
Participants will then rally to a street fair in the Philadelphia media market
and conclude with a celebration and awards ceremony on the Mall, and meetings
with key government representatives in Washington, D.C. Students, individuals,
auto, bus and specialty vehicle manufacturers are invited to compete for the
Tour de Sol championship which honors the greenest one-of-a-kind and
on-the-market vehicles with quality performance."
