Florida Tech's Green Campus Group

This group was started to reflect the need for a "green" or environmentally friendly campus presence.

  Purpose

The purpose of this organization shall be to continually educate the Florida Tech community about the importance of sustainability and to initiate beneficial changes towards a sustainable campus.

  Meetings

The group has evening meetings that are usually on Wednesdays at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Evans Library, Study Room 6, third floor. With each new semester, meetings might change to a different time and place.

  Florida Tech Celebrates Earth Day 2006 with a Solar Music Fair!

The First Annual Florida Tech Solar Music Fair occurred Friday, April 22?, 2005 on Earth Day. From 10 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., there was solar-powered music near the Panther Plaza. Various environmental organizations displayed information about their groups.

The Second Annual Solar Music Fair was on Earth Day, 2006 south of Clemente Center.

Plans are underway for the Third Annual Solar Music Fair.
