First Meeting of Spring Semester
A meeting was held on January 13th to discuss the following topics: Interests for this semester: Receiving a tour at the National Hurricane Center. The tour would be geared more towards meteorologists instead of the general public. Receiving a tour of the weather center at Patrick Air Force Base. Stephanie Zoutenbier a senior in Meteorology currently works at Patrick Air Force Base and could possible give us a tour of what she does and what else is done at the weather center. If you are interested in attending either of these two events please contact Brittany Zilnicki at bzilnicki@my.fit.edu, so we can get a head count of those interested. To help accommodate everyone's crazy schedule, Brittany has offered to hold two AMS meetings every week that a meeting is held. You are not required to attend both, but it is suggested that you attend one of the meetings. Attendance has been lacking at the AMS meetings and this is a way to hopefully get more aspiring meteorologists to attend. The next meetings will be held on Thursday, January 27 at 6:30pm and Friday January 28 at 4:00pm. If none of these times are good for you but you are interested in attending the meetings please contact Brittany at bzilnicki@my.fit.edu, and we might be able to adjust the time slots.
