SpeakerChristopher Sentelle attained an M.S.E.E. and B.S.E.E. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1995 and 1993, respectively. During his master’s degree he studied the incorporation of non-linear devices, such as the Josephson Junction and MOSFET, into full-wave, electromagnetic, FD-TLM modeling. After graduation, he served for 8 years as a radar engineer in the U.S. Air force, and, in 2001, began working for Harris Corporation as an embedded software engineer. While he was in the Air Force, he attained numerous training certifications in radar signal processing through Georgia Tech Research Institute and the University of Florida. He also performed research in fuzzy clustering as applied to medical image processing at the University of West Florida. He is published in IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Technique, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, and Real Time Imaging. He joined L-3 Communications/CyTerra in Orlando, Florida, in 2008, as a senior algorithm/software engineer for their radar products group, where he continues to work. He is also currently a PhD candidate at the University of Central Florida where his focus is on machine learning and pattern recognition. His key interests are in the application of machine learning technologies, especially Support Vector Machines and Kernel methods, to radar signal processing applications. He is a member of HKN, where he has served as president, and a past member of INNS and the Association of Old Crows.
