• Alvin submersible is going through its 4-year overhaul.  The folks at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution have a live "overhaul cam" that will allow you to see the work in progress. This camera can be accessed at the following web site: http://www.whoi.edu/marops/vehicles/alvin/index.html.  The site also contains a "disassembly" movie that condenses 2 weeks of work into 3 minutes.  It documents the process that engineers and technicians went through to break down the sub.
